Chelsie Marie Levesque, 36, of Glencoe, MN, leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tyrone Levesque, Jr., their three cherished children, Gordon, Conner, and Evelyn; and their beloved dogs, Benny and Archie. Also surviving are her parents, Beth Olson and Kurt Olson, brothers Durant (Christa) Hins and Ryan (BreLynn) Olson, and Grandma J, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is reunited in heaven with her grandfathers, Gordon Johnson and Jerome Olson, and Grandma Triple G.
Chelsie was born in Minneapolis and attended Mound Westonka High School. Growing up she was involved in gymnastics, cheerleading, band and softball. She loved clothes and shoes and was a fashion model at a young age.
Though she had known Tyrone all her life, their connection deepened when they stood together in her brother Ryan’s wedding party, and they felt a romantic spark. They married on November 11, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mound, surrounded by friends and family. Together, they built a life full of love, faith, and shared adventures.
Chelsie had a deep love for music. Her home and car were always filled with music, and she found joy in singing and dancing with her children every day. She looked forward to attending Winstock Country Music Festival every summer with Tyrone, BJ and Shelly Landaas, and made a tradition of taking her children to concerts for their birthdays.
Chelsie also loved being creative by quilting, drawing, and scrapbooking. She liked to sew clothes for herself and friends, and even sewed surgical caps for her coworkers. Chelsie was an active member of the Sisters in Christ, where she found joy and community through her faith. She was also passionate about mental health advocacy, offering support and understanding to those around her.
Chelsie dedicated 14 years to her work at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, where she touched many lives. She was a certified nurses assistant and aide in the OR for many years. She recently graduated from St. Paul College to become a certified surgical tech. She passed her certification exam and was completing her clinical rotation at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. Chelsie took great pride in being part of the team that saved lives and helped people recover from illness. Chelsie’s experiences as a patient herself drove her compassion and desire to care for others.
Along with her husband, Chelsie also owned two businesses, Sewer Septic Grease Services and they started Quality Edge Property Maintenance this year with her brother, Ryan. Together, Chelsie and Tyrone built a life filled with faith, hard work, and a deep love for their family. Chelsie’s family was her world, and she filled their lives with love and laughter every day.
One of Chelsie’s favorite songs to sing with her children was “Build a Boat,” which spoke to the comfort and strength she found in God’s love. The lyrics, “With your wind in my sails, your love never fails or fades,” serve as a lasting reminder to her family that her love will continue to guide them.
All are welcome to join Chelsie’s family for a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 11 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mound, with a gathering 1 hour prior to Mass. Interment will be at the church cemetery immediately following, and then a luncheon will be catered from one of Chelsie’s favorite restaurants at the American Legion in Mound.
